A breakthrough in the packaging and printing industries — RosUpack and Printech break their own record by presenting 1000+ market players

From 18 to 21 June 2024, the 28th RosUpack International Exhibition for the Packaging Industry, and the 9th Printech International Exhibition of Equipment, Technologies and Supplies for Print and Advertising Production are to take place in Pavilions 2 and 3 of the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre (Crocus Expo IEC). 1000+ companies are expected to participate in the exhibitions, more than third of those — for the first time. RosUpack and Printech 2024 will present to the Russian packaging market hundreds of new brands and give the visitors an opportunity to quickly address their business needs. The exhibitions are organized by the ITE Group of Companies, the leading Russian player in the conference/exhibition organization sector.

RosUpak и Printech are the largest exhibitions of packaging and printing industries in the Russian space. This year, professionals from all regions of Russia and 39 countries of the world, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, UAE, Portugal, India, etc. are expected to visit the exhibitions.

1000+ companies from 20 countries will take part in RosUpack and Printech 2024. Russian manufacturers from 30+ constituent entities of the Russian Federation will present domestic packaging equipment, raw and other materials, warehouse equipment, labels and ready packaging. Business Program: Industry Development in the New Realities

As usual, for the four days RosUpack and Printech exhibitions will be supported by an eventful business program hosted in two conference rooms: in the Forum hall deployed in the Exposition Hall 15 of Pavilion 3, and the permanent conference room L in Pavilion 2.

As a part of RosUpack exhibition, Forum of Packaging Producers and Consumers will be held for the fourth time, while Printech programme will host the Forum of Printing and Advertising Production. The Forums will include 24 sessions with 140+ speakers sharing the most relevant news of the industry.

In the Forum Hall, the events of June 18, the first day of the business program, will be arranged with the support of the Exhibition's partner and the business program co-developer, the National Confederation of Packagers (NKPak).

Three very interesting sessions will take place as part of the Current State and Ways Forward for the Russian Packaging Industry in the New Economic Realities conference:

• Expert analytics session "Russian Packaging Industry. Changes Effected by External and Internal Factors";
• Plenary session "Cardboard and Corrugated Cardboard Packaging — Current State, Trends and Development Prospects";
• Plenary session "Polymer Packaging — Current State, Trends and Development Prospects".

The speech of Aslikhan Arican, General Secretary of ASD Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association is expected to be a highlight of the Conference. The simultaneous interpretation services will be provided at the session.

On June 19, the second day of the business program, the Forum hall will for the first time host the Sustainable Packaging Day, where three partners of the business program — the RESURS Association for Support of Closed Loop Economy, ECR Company and Ecoline Group — will address the most relevant issues the industry is currently facing, such as:

• how do I learn to navigate the new version of Extended Manufacturer Responsibility (ROP)?
• is the customer ready to pay for products in sustainable packaging?
• how did the ROP changes affect the prospects of the packaging recycling industry?

Online speech of Jens Bidstrup Rasmussen, Aegis Packaging Vice President for Business Development in Europe, will be an important event of the day.

The end of the Eco Day will for the first time see the Innovative Glue and Paint Products for Packaging Industry — Market Trends and Technology Achievements conference, since glue and paint solutions can be environmentally-friendly as well. Session Partner — KHIMLEGION.

Conference room L (Pavilion 2) will host three sessions as part of the two-day industry conference for paper and pulp industry being a part of the action cycle by LIGA LPK ecosystem:

Forum of Printing and Advertising Industries (June 18)

The Printech business program will feature new formats this year. The Exhibition's business program will be conducted in Conference Room L in Pavilion 2.

Hot debate is expected at the "Russian Industry of Printing and Packaging — The Present and the Future" panel discussion! The future of book and digital printing houses, local content expansion in the material production area, risks and hopes — what can the industry expect? Lyudmila Chekalina of Double V and Mikhail Kuvshinov of Nissa Centrum will act as the session moderators.

The "New Everything — Printing Equipment and Expendables in 2024–2025" special session will support the spirit of the professional dialogue and let the audience discuss the best new equipment and materials, and the cases where innovations do not pay off. Dmitry Startsev of the Publish magazine will act as the session moderator.

And at the end of the day, for the very first time the "Printing Prime Cost and Price Calculation — How to Profit from Every Order" workshop will be conducted for the most dedicated specialists of the industry. Cases will be studied, calculations will be performed, and every printing house will have a chance to become more profitable. Denis Khodanovich of Delaem Delo will be the dedicated speaker.

PART Award Ceremony

The International PART Award Ceremony will take place on 20 June. Packaging, Art, Research, Technology — more than 120 companies submitted their applications for participation in PART this year. The PART Award, an annual international prize in the field of packaging design and production, for 10 years now brings together passionate individuals and professionals who are ready to offer innovative developments in the field of packaging and packaging materials.

College students will also present their creative design solutions — 24 items have been registered in the Student Concept category. The "Manufacturer of the Year" nomination in the "Food Product Packaging" and "Transportation Packaging" categories is the most popular this year. Also, 15 items have been registered in the "Sustainable Packaging" nomination, with their design and composition focused on the improvement of the packaging environmental safety.

On June 11 the Exhibition experts will evaluate innovative developments in the field of packaging and packaging materials. The results will be announced on June 20 at the awards ceremony.

On 18–21 June all items submitted by PART Award nominees will be demonstrated at RosUpack International Exhibition for the Packaging Industry (Pavilion 3. Hall 15, stand Е6003).
