Russian printing houses started to buy paper from Türkiye and China
The Russian newspaper Izvestia wrote that the printing houses that buy paper in Europe have started to buy paper in China and Turkey
Speaking to the newspaper, Pavel Melihov, Managing Director of Krasnogorsk Printing House, noted that currently more than a third of coated paper — 35% — is procured from China. Moreover, as he emphasized, this share will grow. Also, according to the general manager, the first batch was purchased from Turkey.
«The printing house also buys paper from China», — says Vladimir Maslikov, development director of the «Pechatnih del master» printing press.
Experts also note that it takes a long time for products from China to arrive in the Russian Federation, and the waiting period can be up to 8 months.
Meanwhile, St. Irina Ivkina, Executive Director of the St. Petersburg Printers Association, also believes that Russian companies will seek and find business partners not only in Turkey and China, but also in Indonesia, for example.
